A shocking case has come to light from Purnia. A wife could not bear the news of her husband’s death. He sacrificed his life by hanging himself. After this, the bier of the husband and wife rose together. The incident took place in Hansi Begumpur Panchayat of Jalalgarh police station area of Purnia district. There was chaos in the village after the incident. On Wednesday, the bodies of husband and wife Manish Kumar Mandal and Gunja were cremated. According to the information, Manish Kumar Mandal, son of Binod Mandal of Hansi village of Hansi Begumpur Panchayat, and his father-in-law Subodh Mandal used to work together to send laborers to Punjab. In this connection, three people, including both father-in-law, son-in-law and Gunja’s maternal uncle, had gone to Pothia in Katihar by bike to send labor to Punjab.

Manish and his maternal uncle died after being hit by a toilet tanker on Tuesday evening. Family members told that after hearing the news of Manish’s death, there was screaming in the entire family. Meanwhile, no one knew when Gunja’s wife disappeared from sight. After some time, when they came to know about Gunja’s absence, they hurriedly started searching for him. When he reached the field while searching, he found GL hanging from a tree. He was immediately brought down. By then it was too late. The family lost the daughter-in-law along with the son.

On Wednesday, when the funeral pyre of husband-wife Manish Kumar Mandal and Gunja woke up together, the entire village became inconsolable. When the bier of both of them left the house for the cremation ground, there was a crowd of mournful villagers on the roadside. Both husband and wife were cremated by laying them together on the same pyre. People say that such incidents are often seen in films. As the bier of both of them rose together, they made their vow to live and die meaningful. Here, Manish’s father-in-law and Gunja’s father Subodh Mandal are seriously injured in this accident. Family members said that he is being treated in the hospital. The deceased couple, Manish Kumar Mandal and Gunja, have a six-month-old son and a four-year-old son. When the four-year-old innocent son came forward to offer funeral pyre at the cremation ground, the entire village of Begumpur started crying. The entire village is inconsolable after the death.
